Free guided tour – Bourg-en-Bresse & the Royal Monastery of Brou

A free guided tour of Bourg-en-Bresse, including the Royal Monastery of Brou, will be offered to registered conference attendees on Friday, 18 December 2026 afternoon (optional activity).• Fee: free of charge for registered attendees
• Registration: required (limited seats)
• Organisation: in collaboration with the Tourist Office / licensed guides
• Languages: French (and English depending on attendance)
• Indicative time: 2:00–4:30 pm (to be confirmed)
• Confirmation: subject to guide availability and a sufficient number of registrations
Practical details (meeting point, itinerary, final schedule) will be shared once registration opens.
Optional excursion
(Saturday 19 Dec 2026)
As part of the 2026 edition in Bourg-en-Bresse, an optional day trip will be offered on Saturday, 19 December 2026, in collaboration with the Tourist Office. The excursion will highlight nearby mountain areas and small ski resorts, providing an informal networking opportunity after the conference.• Format: full-day excursion (coach transportation; detailed itinerary to follow)
• Options:
1. Mountain discovery (walk/viewpoints/free time in the resort)
2. Ski option (subject to snow conditions)
• Registration: pre-registration required; limited seats
• Minimum number of participants: the excursion will be confirmed only if a minimum number of registered participants is reached (threshold to be announced)
• Organization / liability: booking, payment, logistics and insurance coverage will be handled by the Tourist Office / service provider. The conference only provides information and does not operate the excursion. Practical details (schedule, destination, pricing, payment and cancellation policy) will be shared once registration opens.
